Rockstar revamps Social Club’s online leaderboards and stat tracking for Gay Tony

With the release of this week’s second Grand Theft Auto IV expansion The Ballad of Gay Tony, the game’s developer has decided to update the online multiplayer statistics tracking in order to reflect the new multiplayer game types. The addition of “BASE Jump” to the mulitplayer as well as “new, tighter Deathmatch arenas” helped spur the leaderboard overhaul, according to the developer blog. The various new additions being made due to the DLC will even get their own section on the Rockstar Social Club, presumably for the four of you tracking your new GTAIV DLC stats after Modern Warfare 2 releases in a couple weeks.

Rumor: Left 4 Dead 2 demo files name two DLC packs

A number of dirt-digging zombophiles have unearthed a pair of suggestive errors buried within the code for the Left 4 Dead 2 PC demo. These error messages are meant to appear after a player has been kicked from an online multiplayer match after failing to load a DLC map that the match host has selected for play. These disabled messages seem to indicate the names of what many now believe to be two DLC releases planned for the future: The “Miracle Pack” and the “Apocalyptic Pack.”

Frankly, we think the game’s already got its fair share of the Apocalypse, not to mention plenty of miracles, which is the only way we can explain how four people can survive continuous encounters with a city’s worth of the walking dead. Still, we’ve contacted Valve to see if these two messages are a sign of more disastrous — or miraculous — things to come.

1 vs. 100 Season 2 details dished on dev blog

New information on Microsoft’s still free for now Xbox Live-based game show 1 vs. 100 has been a bit on the light side since the game’s initial release so many moons ago. The official 1 vs. 100 Blogs have detailed some new features of the game’s second season.

For one, rather than Avatars amorphously apparating on-stage, “The One” will strut down a central staircase right after dropping a fancy pose on the plebeians below. Players in the hot seat will also have their Xbox Live statuses automatically set to “Busy,” so as not to knock their concentration from the mind grape squeezing at hand. No details were revealed on when we might actually get to play more 1 vs. 100, unfortunately.

First DJ Hero DLC mix pack today; David Guetta pack dated Nov. 24

Activision and FreeStyleGames aren’t wasting any time in expanding DJ Hero’s already fairly expansive 93-mix-long track list. The “Extended Mix Pack 01″ DLC will be added to the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store today and includes the following two mixes for 480 and $5.99, respectively (and not sold separately):

  • “All Of Me” by 50 Cent featuring Mary J. Blige vs. “Radio Ga Ga” by Queen
  • “DARE” by Gorillaz vs. “Can’t Truss It” Performed by Public Enemy

In a recent interview with IGN, FreeStyleGames’ Chris Lee explained that the $3-per-track price can be attributed to the extra work and licensing required to synthesize the two songs in each mix. The Extended Mix mash-ups will be making their way to Wii sometime in late November — around the same time the game’s second DLC bundle, the “David Guetta Mix Pack,” is scheduled for release on PSN and XBLM. That pack, which is slated for November 24, incorporates three of Guetta’s songs: “When Love Takes Over,” “On The Dance Floor,” and “Sexy Bitch,” which was presumably written about us. Rawr.
